Description
Summary:We have developed a method for studying the effect of cyclic action on the internal friction and magnetic properties of steel 45 after various kinds of heat treatment. We compared the measured values of the yield strength udner static and cyclic actions of fivefold torsion specimens with the diameter of the functional part equal to 7.5 mm. Static loading was performed in a standard tensile testing machine. Cyclic loading and measurement of the amplitude dependence of the internal friction (ADIF) were performed in a special device resembling a reversible torsion pendulum designed at the Kriov Polytechnical University. The magnetic properties were determined in a BU-3 ballistic installation.
