Summary: | This paper considers media convergence and crucial characteristics of this process. It is specially noted that due to the plural character of media convergence it is necessary to investigate the question of effect of this phenomenon on the realm of politics. The objective of the research is to find out the aspects of interaction between media convergence and the process of mediatization of political communication in the context of social and technological dimensions. In order to achieve this aim the author studies both foreign and domestic approaches to conduct an extensive analysis of this topic in more detail. It should be emphasized that the object and verifiable results were obtained by the scientific methods such as systematic approach and comparative methods. The study shows a few real-world examples which reflect the main aspects of interaction between media convergence and the process of mediatization of political communication. This thesis proves that the new forms of the political communications were created by the social context and the technological one. |
