Summary:The evolution of the probability density of outer weakly bound neutrons of 11 Li and 11 Be nuclei in collisions with 28 Si and 48 Ti nuclei is described on the basis of a numerical solution to the time-dependent Schrödinger equation. Probabilities for outer neutron stripping due to the processes of neutron transfer and nuclear breakup are determined. Calculations of the cross sections for the loss of two neutrons by the 11 Li nucleus in the 11 Li + 28 Si reaction are close to experimental data.
