Summary: | The chemical composition of 12 Late F dwarfs has been determined by differential curve-of-growth analysis using blue coudé plates. For each star fourteen elemental abundances have been determined from ninety-two spectral lines. In addition the electron pressure, damping parameter and total Doppler velocity have been found spectroscopically. The analysis was performed by a series of computer programs. Compared with the Sun the iron to hydrogen ratio varied from –0.35 to 0.18 dex and most other elements followed the abundance of iron. Manganese was found to be overdeficient when iron was itself deficient. The correlation found with stellar kinematics and ages substantiates previous work in this field. |
