Description
Summary:Ensuring the required level of energy security is one of the most important objectives not only for any particular state, but worldwide also. This article is devoted to the development of a set of indicators for evaluating the implementation of the Russian Federation (RF) energy security strategy in the context of implementing the sustainable development goals (SDGs). In the course of the study the balanced scorecard was used as a basic methodology for developing a set of indicators to ensure energy security. This methodology has been adapted in accordance with the goals and objectives of the Russian Federation energy security strategy and the concept of sustainable development. Based on the analysis of indicators in terms of their relation to sustainable development goals, approaches of other countries and the availability of statistical data, a set of indicators and a strategic map for the implementation of the Russian Federation energy security strategy in the context of achieving the sustainable development goals were developed. The proposed strategic map and set of indicators will allow to monitor the implementation of the strategy, as well as afford the decision-making in the context of achieving the sustainable development goals.
