Summary: | Operational amplifiers (OA) present indispensable elements in analog signal processing. In practice it is often important to determine how much time an OP's output voltage takes to get close to a steady state within predetermined boundaries. The existing literature just touches this question and generally gives undefined, incomplete and somewhere inaccurate answers. In this paper, results of detailed theoretical investigation of a transition process in the OP after an input voltage Heaviside step change are given. |
