Description
Summary:Published in 2014 in the United States two volumes of case studies assess the relation between the ancient Maya societies and climate change in qualified terms, after 20 years of unexpected success for the causal drought model among scholars and a wider audience. Both collections together reflect how difficult is the interdisciplinary work among archaeologists and paleoenvironmentalists, indeed hardly initiated, and how their common enterprise in addressing present urbanism and ecology communities of practice facing our future reveals a renewing research field still largely in progress.
