Summary: | Feminism is a social movement that has managed to bring about great changes in society in recent decades. Even so, the gender perspective has not been adequately inserted in the classroom in many areas, especially in educational textbooks. With the aim of going deeper into the subject and finding out the current situation in Primary Education classes, ten didactic units about the Middle Ages, belonging to Social Science books for 5th year of Primary Education that are currently being used have been analysed. From the results obtained, a lack of equity in terms of male and female representation was detected. Thus, it is established that there is a need for a review and change in the teaching material so that it participates in the creation of a fairer, more equitable and critical society. |
