C" [Poaceae]), were released by the USDA Agricultural Research Service and the Utah Agricultural Experiment Station in 2009 and 2010, respectively. Antelope Creek Germplasm is recommended for use in the western Blue Mountains of Oregon and the eastern Cascade slopes and foothills of Oregon and northeastern California. Pleasant Valley Germplasm is recommended for use in the eastern Blue Mountains of Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. Both germplasms are members of the unofficially designated bottlebrush squirreltail "subspecies C," which possesses a distribution that is centered in central and eastern Oregon.
