Description
Summary:The cover picture shows 5,10‐substituted and 5,15‐substituted push‐pull porphyrins on two plates of a balancing scale. The scale illustrates the comparative study that has been undertaken with regard to synthetic strategies, optimization and comparison of currently used methods for both 5,10‐substituted and 5,15‐substituted systems. The sun in the background represents their use in dye‐sensitized solar cells, which is one of the most prominent applications of these interesting compounds and has drawn a lot of attention to unsymmetrically substituted push‐pull porphyrins. Details are discussed in the Full Paper by M. O. Senge et al. on page 3565 ff (https://doi.org/10.1002/ejoc.201700093).
