Summary: | The article deals with the issues of organization of physical education classes with teenagers of secondary schools by teachers. The analysis identified factors that, in our opinion, are the basis for improving the physical activity of the younger generation. In the article the problem of extra-curricular form of organization of physical education in school is actualized, that provides high motivation of development of physical qualities and abilities of schoolchildren due to conformity to their individual and group interests and needs. The purpose of the article is to highlight the problems of physical culture for today and to substantiate the methods of development of physical qualities of middle school age pupils, who are additionally engaged in freelance during extra-curricular time, and to investigate its effectiveness. Application of the methodology developed on the basis of sports-oriented approach to physical education, which rationally combines classroom lessons and extracurricular forms of organization of physical education, promotes the formation of sports interests in students of middle school age, development of general and strength endurance, flexibility physical performance, formation of moral and volitional and mental qualities and preservation of their health. There are a number of important problems in the physical education of secondary school students in city schools: extremely poor financial and material and technical support; underestimation of the value of extra-curricular sports mass work by teaching staff; the decline in the prestige of the profession of physical education teacher, weak promotion of a healthy lifestyle; a large number of reporting documents; shortage of specialists. In our opinion, in order to resolve this issue, we need to first and foremost identify and identify the following issues: formation of a healthy lifestyle setting and physical education in physical education lessons; forming a certain motivation for playing sports; mastering a system of practical skills that will promote health (hardening); creation of motivational commercials for forming in the middle school age students the awareness about physical activity. The prospects for further research are to explore ways to optimize healthy lifestyles at school age. |
