Summary:	To evaluate the effects of qi-promoting and phlegm-resolving approach in treatment of diabetic microvascular complications. Clinical observation of cases given modified Wen Dan Tang ([symbol: see text] Gallbladder-warming Decoction). Favorable results obtained in cases of diabetic microvascular complications of the type of stagnancy of qi and phlegm (diabetic retinopathy, diabetic nephropathy and diabetic foot). Wen Dan Tang is effective for diabetic microvascular complications of the type of stagnancy of qi and phlegm.
