Preparation of Transparent Conductive (ZnO) m In 2 O 3 Fine Powder by Gel‐Combustion Reaction

A fine powder of (ZnO) m In 2 O 3 ( m =3, 4) was obtained by the self‐combustion reaction, under firing at a furnace temperature of 350°C in a nitrogen atmosphere, of a gel prepared from a mixed zinc and indium nitrate aqueous solution peptized with citric acid. A (ZnO) 3 In 2 O 3 single‐phase produ...

Description
Summary:A fine powder of (ZnO) m In 2 O 3 ( m =3, 4) was obtained by the self‐combustion reaction, under firing at a furnace temperature of 350°C in a nitrogen atmosphere, of a gel prepared from a mixed zinc and indium nitrate aqueous solution peptized with citric acid. A (ZnO) 3 In 2 O 3 single‐phase product was obtained when citric acid was substituted by glycine, because the combustion temperature of glycine mixture is >1260°C. The highest electrical conductivity, 0.2 S cm −1 , was obtained in a tin‐substituted, transparent conducting (ZnO) m In 2 O 3 product, where m =3 and 4.
