Summary:The paleocological development of Lake Druzno has been reconstructed on the basis of the pollen (two profiles), diatom and chemical analysis and the identification of Rhizopoda, Crustacea and Mollusca remains. Eight main stages are distinguished in the formation of the lake. The history of Lake Druzno has been described from the initial stage, dated at 11290 BP, up till recent time.
