Description
Summary:The synthesis and characterization of bis(salen)-type complexes are reported. Using a “template” method, bimetallic complexes as dyssymmetric ligands can easily be built, giving birth to an unprecedented class of metal Schiff-base salen complexes. Electrochemical investigations allow us to study the overoxidation process that occurs during the polymerization. Furthermore, chronoamperometry studies indicate higher kinetics of electron charge transfer as a proof of an improvement in the polymer framework.
