Summary:In the title compound, [Co(C 2 H 2 N 3 )(C 7 H 4 NO 4 )] n , the Co II atom is five-coordinated by three triazolate ligands and one bidentate 3-nitro­benzoate anion in a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry. The triazolate ligand bridges the Co II atoms, generating a two-dimensional net parallel to the ab plane, in which both the Co II atom and the triazolate ligand act as three-connected nodes. Two weak inter­molecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds connect the nets.
