| Abstract | Introduces a special journal issue devoted to the sociology of work & related topics in Latin America, noting the fruitfulness of cooperation & publication in this field. Latin American nations have been compelled earlier & more suddenly than Europe to adjust their economics & politics to the realities of globalization; the articles investigate what Europe might learn from Latin American experiences -- particularly the working conditions of Argentina, Brazil, & Mexico.
