| Summary: | Colombian universities decided that translation work can be beneficial in the field of academic cooperation & the field of exploration. As a result of an investigation among university professors & academics, the Center of Translation was created in 1978. The success of the center is commended & the ways in which it has diversified its operations, from straight translation in several languages, to editing publications, dubbing films, seminars on translation, & opportunities for people to specialize in specific fields of translation, are described.
