Description
Summary:Assesses the contribution of cerebrovascular disease to all-cause mortality and cerebrovascular disease mortality rates in adults aged 15 years or more in one urban and two rural areas of Tanzania. Postulates that the high stroke mortality rates in Tanzania were due to untreated hypertension, and suggests that ageing of the population is likely to lead to a very large increase in mortality from stroke in the future.
