METHOD FOR MEASURING UPPER-LEVEL WINDS AT SEA FROM SMALL SHIPS 1

A simple, economical, and adequately reliable method for measuring upper-level winds from small ships in the open ocean is described. It can be effectively used for measurements up to an altitude of about 2,400-3,700 m or to the limit of a lower cloud ceiling.
