Transfer of super(137)Cs in tea and other foods to man after the Chernobyl accident in Turkey
The transfer fraction of super(137)Cs to man from ingestion of radioactively contaminated tea has been calculated. A transfer fraction of 32% was calculated using the (a, T sub(1), T sub(2)) parameters of the super(137)Cs retention function recommended in ICRP-30. An alternate method using the super...

Summary: | The transfer fraction of super(137)Cs to man from ingestion of radioactively contaminated tea has been calculated. A transfer fraction of 32% was calculated using the (a, T sub(1), T sub(2)) parameters of the super(137)Cs retention function recommended in ICRP-30. An alternate method using the super(40)K body burden yielded a transfer fraction of 33.6%. |
