Summary:The outcome of cardiac transplantation in 29 children with visceral heterotaxy syndrome at high risk for standard surgery was compared with that of 45 children who underwent transplatation for dilated cardiomyopathy. Graft survival and rates of rejections, infection, and post-transpolant coronary artery disease were not different between the 2 groups.
