Summary: | RB associated interstitial lung disease (RBILD) is diagnosed by the presence of histologic features of RB, smoking history, clinical symptoms of cough and dyspnea, evidence of restrictive lung disease on pulmonary function testing, and chest imaging showing patchy ground glass opacities, nodules, and air trapping. Discussion: The presence of significant mediastinal lymphadenopathy and diffuse ground glass nodules in this patient with a significant smoking history prompted transbronchial lung biopsies and EBUS-TBNA of mediastinal lymph nodes. |
