Summary: | The aim of this paper is to propose the implementation of the existing complex measuring system nSoric for measurement of physical quantities into the environment of programmable logic PLCs. This system will be used to measure the temperature profile in transport structures in the horizontal and vertical directions. Part of the work is the selection of suitable sensors for temperature measurement and suggestion of their encapsulation with respect to the physico-chemical conditions in the transportation constructions. The arrangement and connection of the temperature sensors is selected with regard to the amount of wiring used. The PLC control system communicates with the nSoric metering system, displays the measured data on the operator panel, and when is ensured connection to the ethernet network, it also makes it available to personal computers via the web interface. The user can identify and arrange individual sensors with the choice of each sensor's name. Processed proposal of temperature measurement can contribute to road safety by monitoring road conditions. Using PLC simplifies installation of the nSoric metering system, enables it to integrate into various automated systems, and improves process control in industry. |
