Description
Summary:In this paper it is shown a new technique able to obtain images with high-resolution radar (HRR) only using noncoherent data it extracts. This method doesn't need the data phase information of the signal reflected by targets, it works on "real time", and it is compatible with the scanning and tracking radar functions. The technique consists on a modification and adaptation of algorithms used for the synchronization of the actual digital communication systems. Likewise it is shown experimental results that ratify the quality of this technique. These results have been obtained with ARIES radar, a surface marine surveillance HHR developed by INDRA SISTEMAS S.A. in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Madrid, by means of Spanish Ministry of Defence.
