Plasmid-mediated qnr A1 in Klebsiella pneumoniae ST147 in Recife, Brazil

Highlights • The detection of qnr A1 gene in North-East of Brazil is reported. • The first association of qnr A1 and K. pneumoniae ST147 in Latin America was shown. • A 133 kb plasmid harbored the qnr A1, dfrA12 and aadA2 genes.
