Summary:This paper deals with distance education (EaD) in the Military Fire Brigade of the Distrito Federal - Brazil (CBMDF). Such an approach is necessitated by the little knowledge within the Corporation about this modern mode of teaching. The objective of this work is to verify the practice of EaD in the Corporation and demonstrate its importance for quality training of all its members. It seeks to achieve this purpose from the bibliographical review and documentary research. The research showed that only from the second half of 2015 will the use of an EaD platform begin. Another data obtained refers to the fact that EaD is little used in the CBMDF, losing a great opportunity of training based on its accessibility and connectivity.
