Abstract This is an experience report related to the outreach project "More Action and Nutrition in Childhood" which developed dynamic and interactive strategies to encourage children to acquire healthy eating habits. It was carried out by students and a professor from the bachelor’s degree in Nutrition. The participants were children between 4 and 5 years old enrolled in Preschool I at a municipal school located in Vale de São Francisco, Bahia – Brazil.  With the use of dynamic and interactive methodologies, based on active learning, the strategies proved to be efficient in developing students' critical sense, in introducing them new flavors to the palate, and in stimulating their autonomy for choosing healthy food. It was possible to conclude that the objectives were met, and the use of strategies aimed at children, based on dynamic and interactive learning methods, provided them opportunity to develop healthy eating habits. Trata-se de um relato de experiência referente ao projeto de extensão "Mais Ação e Nutrição na Infância", que propiciou o desenvolvimento de estratégias dinâmicas e interativas para promoção de boas práticas alimentares para o público infantil. O projeto foi desenvolvido por estudantes e professor do curso de bacharelado em Nutrição. Participaram do projeto crianças de 4 a 5 anos de idade matriculadas no pré-escolar I, de uma escola municipal localizada no Vale do São Francisco. As estratégias utilizadas, com a utilização de metodologias dinâmicas e interativas com base no aprendizado ativo, mostraram-se eficientes na formação do senso crítico dos alunos, na introdução de novos sabores ao paladar e no estímulo à autonomia de boas escolhas alimentares. Conclui-se que os objetivos propostos foram atingidos, de modo que a utilização de estratégias voltadas ao público infantil, com métodos dinâmicos e interativos de aprendizagem, proporcionou-lhes o desenvolvimento de boas práticas alimentares.
