Description
Summary:Jacques Cauvin’s view of Neolithization in the Levant concentrated very little on how the symbols revolution might have applied to the development of the exploitation of non-farmable territory in the steppe and desert areas of the region. New areas of research in the past decade have made it possible to understand the forces behind the emergence and refinement of pastoral nomadism and the kinds of social, economic, and political adjustments that were necessary to make the novel subsistence strategy successful.
