Description
Summary:16 studies published between 1913-1914, in the area of dreams, have been reviewed. Most of the literature is in support or in condemnation of Freud's work on dreams. A few dream studies were of the questionnaire or statistical sort; others gave the results of investigation of dreams personally experienced. L. M. Terman and A. Hocking's study of the sleep of school children belonged to the former category. L. Klages' work consisted of speculations as to the character of dream material and its mutual relations with waking consciousness. E. P. Frost found a characteristic dream-form, which if graphically represented, would take the shape of a pulse- or breathing curve. J. Kollarits in his work, found that fear was an important factor in dream determination.
