Description
Summary:The fauna of south‐east Brazilian mountains was sampled and revealed two new species of Frieseinae, Friesea curupira sp. nov. and Friesea boitata sp. nov. The first is an unpigmented species with 1 + 1 eye, no furca and two anal spines. The second species is very similar to F. reducta Denis, 1931. Comments are made about a complex of species that also share many similarities within the ‘reducta group’. Remarks are made on tegumentar protuberances of subcoxae 1 of legs of Frieseinae.
