Summary: | The authors report the preparation from nitrate solutions of Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O compounds with some typical compositions varying copper fraction, together with X-ray analysis and resistance measurements in the temperature region 300 to 4.2 K. In the high-T sub(c) superconductors, the superconducting grains in the material are coupled to one another by weak coupling into closed loops. As the critical field of weak coupling is comparatively low, it will be interesting to study the low-field magnetic properties of these materials. Here, they have presented preliminary results on magnetization at low field. |
