Transcription of Fc(gamma) receptors in different rat liver cells

Description
Summary:Expression of Fc(gamma)-receptors (Fc(gamma)Rs) in different liver cells is poorly characterised. In the present study, transcription of Fc(gamma)Rs in different rat liver cells was examined by means of Northern blot analysis and reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reactions. We found that both Kupffer and liver endothelial cells produce mRNA for Fc(gamma)RIIB2, Fc(gamma)RIII and the gamma-chain, whereas the level of Fc(gamma)RIIB1 mRNA is negligible. In contrast, parenchymal cells produce no Fc(gamma)R mRNA.
