Summary:	The case of an osteoid osteoma of the right temporal bone (mastoid) in a 21-year-old woman is reported. The suspected diagnosis of osteoid osteoma was based in the retroauricular pain and the findings of the bone scintigraphy and computerized tomography (CT). Histological verification was made after surgical removal of the mass. After a 12-month-follow up, the patient remains asymptomatic.
