Description
Summary:Food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES) is an uncommon and potentially severe non-IgE-mediated gastrointestinal food allergy characterized by delayed profuse vomiting and diarrhea that can progress to dehydration and shock [1]. The pathophysiology, prevalence, natural history, and diagnosis of FPIES remain poorly understood, and the few data available in the literature comprise single case reports or small case series [2-6]. One recently published large case series did not report patient outcome [7].
