Description
Summary:Forty-six newly diagnosed patients with T1 and T2 bladder tumours were treated with radical transurethral resection. During a six-month period more than 50% of the tumours recurred. Subsequently progression of tumours was seen within 24 months in 30 and 50% of the patients with T1 and T2 tumours, respectively. Prognosis with regard to the progression was significantly better in patients with Ta recurrence at first TUR control than in patients with invasive recurrent tumours.
