Description
Summary:The dynamic interpretation of the serum concentrations of markers is frequently used to calculate biological indicators of therapeutic efficiency and relapse. But analysis of marker kinetics can also help improve our understanding of the natural history of different types of cancer and their evolution under treatment. This application is illustrated by an analysis of CA 125 kinetics measured in a patient with stage III ovarian cancer treated with multiple lines of chemotherapy and who had a survival time of 9 years.
