Iphias: Apollonius Rhodius, Argonautica 1.311-16

Lines 1.311-16 of "Argonautica" are almost certainly an invention of Apollonius Rhodius. The Iphias scene is highly significant and shows just how carefully innocent-looking passages of Apollonius' poem need to be studied.
