Autogamy in Hieracium Subgen. Pilosella

The presence of autogamy in Hieracium subgen. Pilosella is reported for diploid H. lactucella and tetraploid H. pilosella. Self-compatibility is induced under the influence of pollen from another species (mentor effects).
