Analysis of the mutual impedance of two linear dipoles as function of their height above the ground surface

Description
Summary:In the paper the applicability of a system, consisting of two linear dipoles located above the surface of a layered half-space for measuring the dielectric characteristics of soils is discussed. Measurement results of the real part and module of the active antenna's full impedance as function of humidity (uniformly distributed along the surface and in depth) are presented for the sandy soil case. The experiments are compared with calculations.
