Description
Summary:During the last couple of decades, Chilean public agencies and organizations have developed their own document management systems to deal with the management of internal errands. Errands involving documents from different government organizations were usually carried out by citizens. The integration of these heterogeneous document management systems is a promising way of improving the efficiency and transparency of public service, as well as providing a better quality service. The main challenge to face is to do it with minimal impact on each public organization. This paper presents a software architecture designed to deal with such problem. The proposal is particularly instantiated for the case of the integration process that is currently under way within the Chilean government
