Description
Summary:Utilization of geothermal potential of small-scale (low-medium enthalpy) which is very large in Indonesia is very necessary and urgent to do. This paper present grid synchronization test as a part of local development small scale geothermal power plant. The control system consist of PLC and generator control panel and SCADA system for data monitoring and control to give better operational condition for the operator. From this grid synchronization test, it is confirmed that basic calculation and the design of overall system work to deliver power into the power grid. The test also witnessed by PT PLN Pusertiv as a part of certification process. The power ripple of the output generator power and power swing was observed caused by the control of regulated valve to the rock muffler in order to maintain turbine inlet pressure and also from the setting of woodward PID. This is a challenge for next synchronization test to smoothing the output power.
