Description
Summary:The photoelastic characteristics of high-efficiency acoustooptic material triglycine sulfate were investigated. The anisotropy of monoclinic crystals of triglycine sulfate is studied by the method of general and indicative surfaces. The piezooptic interaction geometries characterized by the maximal value of the piezo-modulation parameter are determined. The estimated value of the maximal acoustooptic figure-of-merit of this crystal is in order higher than the same value in other crystals used in the UV acoustooptic devices.
