Description
Summary:The paper continues investigations of antennas for the miner cardiac rhythm sensor. The sensor and the beacon are placed in the battery's box of a miner's lantern. Measurements of cardiac rhythm are based on measurements of reflected microwave energy. The mutual positioning of the battery's box with the sensor and human body is changed continually. Previous investigations have shown that a simple patch antenna is not suitable for the application as its bandwidth is very narrow and sensitive to positions of a body and a lantern. New antenna designs for practical applications have been proposed in the paper. Numerical results and practical advises have been discussed.
