Summary: | SF 6 gas has used in power equipment due to its excellent dielectric properties and arc-quenching potential. Besides its good properties, it is an environmental hazard gas due to its extremely high Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 23800 times of carbon dioxide. In this paper, CCl 2 F 2 /CO 2 and CCl 2 F 2 /N is investigated as an alternative to SF 6 . Furthermore, dielectric strength analysis, self-recoverability testing, and Liquification testing are analyzed in our paper. CCl 2 F 2 gas with its mixture gases proved as sustainable alternate to SF 6 due to its low GWP, possessed 0.95 times dielectric strength to SF 6 , and good self-recoverability. |
