This easily produced data thanks to GPS and Web 2.0 technology has been seen a substantive data source especially for unexpected events like natural disasters, riots, and terror attacks and so on. In this study, 15 July Coup Attempt to the Republic of Turkey (2016) has been monitored spatially by using Social Media data. Istanbul city where the first attempt of putschists have been occurred and the first incident ignite social media attention has been chosen for 12 hours monitoring. |
