Description
Summary:The laboratory studies of active filters use in the power supply circuits of electric drives have been carried out. The experiment showed that the designed device is capable of generating periodic three-phase symmetric and unbalanced currents of different harmonic spectrum and compensating for the interharmonic distortions of load current in the reciprocating compressor. The device made it possible to reduce the amplitudes of the interharmonic components of electric drive current in the air compressor by 75% in laboratory conditions thereby reducing the THDi of the current by 7.5%. Industrial tests of the active filter use onboard a ship are described. Tests have shown high efficiency of suppression of interharmonics of electric drive current in the compressor allowing lowering the level of interharmonic amplitudes by 50% and lowering THDi by 4%.
