Performance analysis for FMCW ranging using photon-counting detectors

We analyze the performance of FMCW ranging with photon-counting detectors. We derive the Cramér-Rao bound, then determine the optimal fraction of signal-arm photons, given a fixed mean number of source-generated photons.
