Description
Summary:Active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) shows significant performance on time delay, nonlinearity and uncertainty phenomenon in industrial processes. However, industrial processes exhibit complex behavior with time-varying characteristic, especially time-varying delay. In this paper, an active disturbance rejection control with adaptive delayed input (AD-ADRC) is proposed to solve the control problem of a time-varying delay system. The proposed method is based on integration of an ADRC with delayed input (D-ADRC) and an estimation module. A time-delay system is controlled by D-ADRC first. Then the time-varying delay is identified via correlation technique. A minimum variance principle is used as a benchmark to monitor control performance of time-varying delay system under D-ADRC and AD-ADRC. Simulation results show the efficiency of AD-ADRC when the time delay changes in a large degree.
