Abstract This paper explains about a compact multiband single arm Archimedean spiral antenna with taper feed. The antenna is designed on a 1.57mm thick Roger's RT Duroid 5880 substrate and it operates at 1.24GHz, 1.76GHz, 2.43GHz, 3.29GHz, 5.8Ghz with good impedance matching, Gain and Radiation pattern characteristics. The antenna would be very promising for vehicular communications which involve navigational wireless frequencies, wireless communication frequencies and dedicated short range communication frequency.
